Morell Maison, Kettering Town manager 2011-12

Maison, Morell - Position: Manager
Originally Morell, was brought in as caretaker manager after the sacking of Kevin Wilson in February 2006. The former Buckingham Town manager was going to take charge of the Poppies reserve side along with former Wilson coach Alan Biley as assistant manager, who had been managing Spalding United on a temporary basis. But Morell faced his first game at the helm against full time Conference North favourites Northwich Victoria, a real baptism of fire, a game the Poppies won 2-0 to confound all the critics and Maison the perfect start to his Kettering Town managerial career.
After an impressive start in the managerial hot seat the a few defeats curtailed any reasonable chance of a play-off berth, failing in the end by just 4 points. This though after a superb series of results finishing the season off in championship form with 7 victories in 8 games. Morell was appointed manager of the Poppies for the 2006-07 season. With the club going full time expectancy was high, Morell guided the club to second place in the league, having topped the Division for a couple of weeks, his side produced some of the most attractive football seen at Rockingham Road for many a year but, a 3-1 defeat at Hinckley United which more or less put the title and automatic promotion out of reach and with just two league games to go, after 14 months in charge, Maison was relieved of his duties. In October 2007 Maison became the manager of Halesowen Town. Later he became the director of football at Chester City.
Sensationally Morell returned to the Poppies in September 2010, in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Lee Harper, but after just three games in temporary charge he was replaced by Marcus Law. After the surprise departure of Law to Tamworth and much speculation, it was announced that Morell would be in charge of the club for a third time in June 2011 with Nicky Eaden returning as his assistant.

Nicky Eaden, Kettering Town assistant manager 2011-12

Eaden, Nicky - Position: Assistant Manager
Born Sheffield. Previous clubs: Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Lincoln City, Halesowen Town, Solihull Moors. A Mark Cooper signing in October 2007. Nicky almost gave the game up but for the intervention of Cooper. Nicky chipped in with some valuable contributions that belied his advancing years as the Poppies stormed the Blue Square North, to win the Championship. Nicky became the player coach for the club for the 2008-09 season. Nicky started off the season in fine form as did the Poppies, once the war horse was rested midway through the campaign it was strange the sides form dropped off.
Nicky returned spasmodically defying the years with some vintage displays as once again with him in the side results improved. A valuable asset to any side experience counts and with ‘Eads’ in the side the quality shines through. Nicky became assistant manager for the onset of the 2009-10 season. A great competitor Nicky’s last game for the Poppies was the 1-0 FA Cup away win at Hartlepool United, before he left the club with Mark Cooper to join Peterborough United as assistant manager. Nicky returned to the Poppies in June 2011 as Morell Maison’s assistant.
